Sonoran Turquoise Chandelier Earrings | Eleanor Largo
Drop length: 3"
Vibrant green Sonoran turquoise gemstones define these elegant chandelier-style earrings made by Navajo silversmith Eleanor Largo. Handcrafted to perfection, these earrings showcase a cascade of vibrant green Sonoran turquoise gemstones that capture the essence of the Southwest's enchanting landscapes. With each sway, these earrings exude elegance and a touch of bohemian charm, making them a mesmerizing addition to any jewelry collection.
Hailing from the Campitos mine situated near Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, Sonoran turquoise stands out due to its distinctive mining process. Unlike traditional turquoise veins, this variety is frequently discovered as nuggets within clay deposits. In operation since the 1980s, the mine yields exquisite Sonoran turquoise, characterized by vivid green hues complemented by brown matrix, occasionally accented with traces of pyrite to infuse a captivating sparkle.
