In this gorgeous pendant created by Navajo silversmith E.M. Linkin, a unique Sonoran turquoise gemstone is complemented by orange and deep purple spiny oyster shell cabochons. This piece isn't just jewelry; it's a wearable work of art that encapsulates traditional artistry and the spirit of the Southwest.

Hailing from the Campitos mine situated near Cananea, Sonora, Mexico, Sonoran turquoise stands out due to its distinctive mining process. Unlike traditional turquoise veins, this variety is frequently discovered as nuggets within clay deposits. In operation since the 1980s, the mine yields exquisite Sonoran turquoise, characterized by vivid green hues complemented by brown matrix, occasionally accented with traces of pyrite to infuse a captivating sparkle.
