White Buffalo Turquoise & Onyx Ring | Lillie Yazzie
Size: 8 1/2
The striking combination of pure White Buffalo turquoise and deep, velvety onyx gemstones creates a captivating visual harmony in this ring by Navajo silversmith Lillie Yazzie. Adorn yourself with this wearable masterpiece that encapsulates the spirit of Southwest tradition and modern sophistication.
Discovered in 1993, White Buffalo turquoise is only found in the Dry Creek Mine of Tonopah, Nevada. The name derives from the Native American belief that white buffaloes are pure and rare much like the unique stone. Unlike traditional blue turquoise found in copper mines, it develops exclusively near magnesium deposits which alters the stone’s pigmentation. A symbol of Native American heritage, this exceedingly rare gemstone commands a high price due to its scarcity.
