Handstamped Birdseye Kingman Turquoise Cuff | Albert Jake
Size: 5 3/4 (Medium-Large)
Five exquisite Birdseye Kingman turquoise stones dominate this substantial sterling silver cuff, meticulously handcrafted by expert Navajo artisan Albert Jake. This cuff's thick silver frame is adorned with dramatic hand-stamped scalloped edges and sterling silver buttons. Each unique turquoise stone features its own gorgeous matrix of forest green and burnt umber complimented by a robin’s egg blue backdrop. This unparalleled cuff is an extraordinary addition to any ensemble and a true testament to Jake’s expertise.
Birdseye refers to a type of turquoise akin to Spiderweb turquoise, but distinct in that it features a light blue base with a complementary blue matrix rather than dark patterns. This configuration yields a unique visual effect where cross-cut stones reveal numerous pockets of lighter blue stone enveloped by darker blue matrix, resembling a bird's eye. Birdseye turquoise, a rarity, can only be found in a few mines, including the Kingman Turquoise Mine located in Arizona.
