Five deeply striated Number Eight turquoise gemstones define this spectacular butterfly bolo tie crafted by Navajo silversmith Roland Dixson. With scalloped sterling silver accents, antennae, and two additional round Sleeping Beauty turquoise stones for eyes, this astounding piece will certainly turn heads at your next function.

Located in Eureka County, Nevada, the Number Eight Turquoise Mine was first mined in 1929. Turquoise is no longer collected there, as efforts have been redirected to the mine’s gold deposits. An easily identifiable stone, darker shades of Number Eight turquoise are considered the most valuable.

Sleeping Beauty turquoise is famous for its iconic pure blue color. One of the most sought-after gemstones, the Sleeping Beauty mine closed permanently in 2012 causing its value to triple over the past decade.

Every piece in Samsville's collection is handmade.
